Welcome Cubs Fans!

This blog will discuss Topps Stadium Club Sets and the baseball card collecting hobby, with a focus on the Chicago Cubs. Contrary to vintage baseball cards, the majority of modern cards are affordable. The various sets will be considerably simpler to obtain. In 1991, the first set was unveiled as a posh reaction to the upscale Upper Deck. The collection was discontinued in 2003; however, Topps did make a comeback with a Stadium Club set in 2008. Topps started releasing the series yearly in 2014, albeit with lower-quality items this time.

2008 Stadium Club Cubs Checklist

Number of Cards

184 cards plus there are photo variations on the "Rising Stars" subset 101–150, making a full set much more. I have all 8 Cubs players, including parallels.

Size of Cards

The size of the cards are standard-size 2 ½ x 3 ½

Basic Features

This was the first Stadium Club set released in five years, and it was a confusing set. The photography was good, which is a hallmark of the Stadium Club franchise. Each standard card has a first-day issue; every third is numbered to 999; and each rookie has a photo variation, some of which is numbered to 999.

2008 Stadium Club breakdown. 1-90 cards are all current Major League players, and cards 91-100 are Hall of Famers. The next 50 cards make up a "Rising Stars" subset of rookies. The final 35 cards make up an autographed rookie set.

Parralles sets are Photographer's Proof Blue /99 and Photographer's Proof Gold /50
